Hand-carved from natural emerald, 54.00 carats total

A matched pair of emerald leaves, each carved from a single piece of natural rough and finished with fine veining across the face and a scalloped, serrated edge. The carving follows a form that has been worked in Indian lapidary for centuries — leaves cut for Mughal-era jewels, where the stone's own colour zoning and inclusions were treated as part of the design rather than something to cut away. Here, the deeper green pooling along the spine and the darker matrix flecks are original to the crystal.

Carved by hand at our family atelier in Jaipur. A matched pair at this weight is uncommon; the two leaves are cut to sit together as earrings, a pendant drop, or a mounted pair, but they remain natural stones and carry their own individual character.

Care
Emerald is a comparatively brittle stone with natural fissures. Clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth only. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner, and avoid heat, solvents, and household chemicals — these can strip oil from the stone and affect its appearance.
