A seated Lord Shiva, carved from a single, extraordinary block of natural tanzanite — the rare blue-violet gemstone found only in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Every element of the deity's iconography has been rendered in exquisite detail: the trishul held aloft, Vasuki the serpent coiled around the neck, the crescent moon in the matted jata, the meditative half-lidded gaze, and Nandi the sacred bull carved at the base.
